Trump LUNGES at female reporter

Yesterday at the GOP’s largely empty convention, Ted Cruz singled out New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in a bizarre, bigoted rant and told the crowd "we must stand and defeat the Islamist."

He warned of a "red-green alliance" of "communists and Islamists" taking over the Democratic Party.

He said the hate that “knocked down the Twin Towers” keeps getting “worse and worse.”

“They hate Christians, they hate Jews, they hate capitalism, they hate the Constitution, and they hate America."

While Cruz was talking, the crowd called for each of those men to be shot. Cruz kept going.

Despite the conservative smear campaign demanding Mamdani stay away from 9/11 commemorations, he’s packing his schedule with meaningful action — and more events than previous administrations.

Last night, a huge round of applause broke out at St. Patrick’s Cathedral when President Biden joined Mamdani for the 9/11 Memorial Mass. Trump and Vance were both invited, both declined.

Mamdani’s schedule has at least eight ceremonies this week alone, and that’s just what’s public-facing. He’s visited firehouses that sent first responders into the towers, volunteered at 9/11 service events, and attended the NYPD and FDNY ceremonies honoring the members the city lost.

He released 170,000 pages of city documents, kept buried for years, that show officials — Giuliani among them — downplayed health risks to New Yorkers and first responders in the aftermath. Some 9,000 people died from 9/11 related illnesses — over 3 times the number of people that died that day.

Mamdani also settled two long-running lawsuits against the city, finally giving families closure after a multi-year fight over air quality.

He assigned dedicated staff at two city agencies, DCAS and NYC Public Schools, to help survivors and families navigate federal health and compensation programs that are notoriously hard to access. This could expand the number of people receiving federal benefits.

And he launched Memory Makers, using digital kiosks located all over the city to tell dozens of geolocated stories of the New Yorkers who carried the city through the rescue and recovery.

This is what actually honoring 9/11 looks like. Not lying to New Yorkers about the air quality to get them back to work before it was safe.

Rachel Scott from ABC News asked Trump a simple question: if Trump’s economic policies are actually working, why does he need to bribe people with checks to get them to vote?

He didn’t like that one — he gave some BS excuse blaming Biden.

But when she pressed on the tariff refund checks he's been promising for months and still hasn't sent, he physically lunged at her, snarling.

He pointed at her, raised his voice, and told her and her network, "you're the worst," cutting her off mid-follow-up. Watch the exchange here.

Jimmy Kimmel announced that his interview with Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico would not air on ABC — because the FCC threatened him, his show, the network, and its local affiliates over what Kimmel described as "simple, traditional, editorial decisions.”

They posted the interview to YouTube instead, where it is already over 1 million views just hours after being posted. With all the added attention, it will likely now be seen by many more people.

Another masterful strategy by team Trump.

Kimmel said the administration is "very nervous about the midterms" and specifically worried about losing a Senate seat in Texas. The White House responded by attacking Kimmel.

In response to the FCC blocking the interview, Talarico said, “We’re not just going up against the most corrupt politician in Texas. We’re going up against this entire corrupt system.'“

The First Circuit Court of Appeals rejected Trump's attempt to impose sweeping restrictions on mail-in voting before November, declining to stay an injunction that blocked the USPS from tightening postal voting rules.

Separately, the Supreme Court — in a ruling written by Justice Brett Kavanaugh — blocked a Trump-backed attempt to redraw Missouri's congressional maps in a way that would have handed Republicans an extra House seat, directing the state to use its post-2020 census maps instead.
