TOP STORY
Democrats Just Flipped Mar-a-Lago

Trump personally endorsed the Republican. Trump voted by mail — yes, that Trump — in the race. Trump's own club sits inside Florida House District 87.
Democrat Emily Gregory still won by more than two points.
Gregory flipped a district Trump carried by 11 points in 2024, beating Republican Jon Maples 51% to 49% — a margin of roughly 750 votes. Democrats also flipped a State Senate seat in Tampa Bay the same night.
"Mar-a-Lago just flipped red to blue, which should have Republicans sweating the midterms," said Heather Williams, president of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee.
Gregory ran on affordability, healthcare, and public schools. Maples ran on tax cuts and America First conservatism with a presidential endorsement. The endorsement didn't hold.

🗞️ Making News
Trump Stole Classified Docs to Protect His Business Deals
The Justice Department accidentally handed Congress evidence that Trump stole classified documents tied to his own private business interests. Rep. Jamie Raskin says DOJ materials show the docs were so sensitive only six people in the entire U.S. government had clearance — and that Trump's future chief of staff Susie Wiles watched him show off a classified map to passengers on his private plane.
Iran to Trump: You're Negotiating With Yourselves
Trump claimed the U.S. is in negotiations with Iran. Iran's military disagrees — loudly. "Have your internal conflicts reached the point where you are negotiating with yourselves?" said Lt. Col. Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for Iran's military command. Meanwhile, the U.S. is sending 1,000 paratroopers and 5,000 Marines to the region, Iran is blockading the Strait of Hormuz, and a drone just set Kuwait International Airport on fire.
Republican Rep. Caught Admitting SAVE Act Hurts the Women He Claims to Protect
Chip Roy's own mouth blew up his own bill. In secretly recorded footage from a February Zoom call, the Texas Republican admitted his chief of staff had to "go through a bunch of hoops" and "go back to the DMV twice" because of name-change documentation requirements — the exact problem critics say the SAVE Act creates for the 69 million married American women who've changed their names. Then, in the same breath, Roy claimed "there's no barriers at all to married women being able to vote."
Meta Hit With $375M Verdict for Letting Predators Prey on Kids
A New Mexico jury just ordered Meta to pay $375 million — the maximum $5,000 per violation under state consumer protection law — after finding the company misled the public about platform safety and enabled child sexual exploitation. Attorney General Raúl Torrez called it a "historic victory," saying Meta executives "knew their products harmed children, disregarded warnings from their own employees, and lied to the public." Meta is appealing.

The Scorecard Nobody Wants: What Trump's Iran War Actually Bought
Around 150 Iranian schoolgirls are dead.
