Trump Calls for DEATH PENALTY for Reporters in Unhinged War Rant

The President of the United States said on Sunday that reporters covering his war on Iran should be charged with treason — a crime punishable by death.

Let that sink in for a second.

Donald Trump posted a nearly 400-word rant on Truth Social accusing Iran of working “in close coordination with the Fake News Media” to spread false information about the conflict, then wrote that “those Media Outlets that generated it should be brought up on Charges for TREASON for the dissemination of false information!”

The specific target of Trump’s rage was the Wall Street Journal, which reported Saturday that an Iranian attack on a Saudi airbase hit and damaged five U.S. military refueling planes. Trump claimed the story was false, saying four of the aircraft were still in service “with the exception of one, which will soon be flying the skies.”

He also pointed to an AI-generated video showing the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier “burning uncontrollably in the Ocean” — a video that was, in fact, debunked last week by AFP and multiple U.S. news outlets. Trump used the existence of that fake video to tar all American media as treasonous.

Key Allies HUMILIATE Trump With War Call Snub

When the U.S. went to war with Iran, America's closest allies didn't pick up the phone — and Trump is finding out what happens when you spend years insulting, tariffing, and threatening the people you need most. The UK, France, and Germany were not consulted before the strikes, and multiple allied governments have since refused to back the operation publicly. And they won’t help open up the Strait of Hormuz after he very publicly asked. This is what diplomatic isolation looks like in real time. Read more

The Oscars Went Full Resistance

Hollywood's biggest night turned into an extended roast of Donald Trump. The 2025 Oscars saw host Conan O'Brien and a parade of presenters and winners take direct shots at the administration — on immigration, DEI rollbacks, and the assault on free expression — in front of a global audience of millions. This wasn't subtle awards-show hedging. It was the ruling class's cultural wing picking a side, out loud, on camera. Watch the key moments.

Israeli Soldiers Kill Four in Family Car, Including Two Children

Israeli soldiers shot and killed four members of a family — including two children — after opening fire on their car in the northern West Bank, according to the Palestinian Authority's Health Ministry. The killings come as casualties across the occupied territory have surged since the start of the Iran war. The Israeli military has not stopped its campaign in the West Bank while simultaneously fighting Iran — it has accelerated it. Read more.

Agency Considering BANNING Trump From U.S. Olympics

The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee is weighing whether to ban Donald Trump from the 2028 Los Angeles Games — a sitting president potentially barred from attending the Olympics on American soil. The USOPC is reportedly concerned that Trump's presence would politicize the event and alienate international athletes and delegations. This comes as Trump's global standing craters amid the Iran war fallout and a string of diplomatic humiliations. Read more.

🗳️ Yesterday’s poll results

Last time, we asked, Have gas prices gone up in your area?

98% of you said YES:

  • “Locally, our gas prices have gone up 80 cents per gallon. Out of the reserve oil that has already been purchased a few months ago. I have always wondered why the gas prices go up immediately upon bad news, but take months to come back down with good news. The 99% get screwed seven ways to Sunday coming and going. ”

  • “Regular gas is up more than 30¢ a gallon and diesel is up over 60¢ a gallon. Prices did not drop with the crude barrel market prices. No surprise.”

    - crys62

  • “Yes they’ve gone up in just a few days. I live in Pa and very close to NJ. Gas prices are always cheaper in NJ than in Pa. The price of gas a little over a week ago was under $3. Then it went up continuously over the last few days and now it’s 3.49. That’s the Jersey prices.”

IN DEPTH

America's War With Iran Is Already Making Someone Very Rich

The bombs hadn't finished falling on Iranian nuclear sites before Wall Street started running the numbers.

The U.S. strikes on Iran are being covered in the financial press less as a human catastrophe and more as an economic stress test, a chance to see if American sanctions muscle still flexes the way it used to.

That framing tells you everything about whose interests are centered when the ruling class decides to go to war.
