1. The Natalie Harp saga is now a full White House crisis

The story Jon Ossoff lit on fire last Sunday is still burning — and getting worse for the White House every day.

Harp, Trump's 35-year-old executive assistant and near-constant companion, went more than a year without obtaining the security clearance required of all White House staff — and Trump had to personally intervene to get her to fill out the forms.

She reportedly writes the president "gushing love letters" and has been described as his "human printer" by former White House aide Sarah Matthews, who says many current staffers share her concerns about the relationship.

Yesterday, Harp was conspicuously absent from photos of Melania Trump's rare Rose Garden appearance — the first lady's first public White House showing in over a month. CNN's Scott Jennings, auditioning to replace Karoline Leavitt as press secretary, called Ossoff a "sucker punching coward" for naming Harp at a rally.

Ossoff's response: "No one cares about your feelings." He's right, and the White House knows it.

3. Rosie’s final Kimmel appearance humiliates Trump — in song!

Rosie O'Donnell closed out her week guest-hosting "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Thursday night, and she made sure it was memorable.

Wrapping up her final monologue, she thanked viewers and took one last jab at President Trump, joking that he'd spent more nights with her that week than with Melania.

The real showstopper, though, was her send-off song: a reworked version of "Danny Boy" aimed squarely at Trump, touching on falling poll numbers, inflation, a returning measles outbreak, and a jab at his ballroom renovation.

She capped it off by suggesting he resign so the country could "be great again."

Should Rosie host her own talk show again?

4. Trump's endorsement machine is breaking down — and Mike Lindell wants recount

Trump-backed candidates lost a streak of races this week, and the most tragicomic fallout belongs to Mike Lindell, who is reportedly willing to spend upwards of $1 million to recount a double-digit gubernatorial primary loss in Minnesota.

Lindell framed the recount as a crusade against electronic voting machines — the same machines he has been claiming are rigged since 2020, the same year he lost nothing personally but decided to make it his whole personality.

As we’ve already reported, Democratic socialists scored a shock win in Florida as Trump-backed picks stumbled, and Lawrence O'Donnell argued this week that Trump has lost his "magical powers" as a kingmaker heading into the midterms. A man who built his brand on winning is now the guy whose endorsement you might want to avoid at all costs.

5. Israel finally admits its soldiers shot the car carrying five-year-old Hind Rajab

After lying about it for over a year, the Israeli military admitted its troops fired on the car carrying five-year-old Hind Rajab and six of her family members in Gaza in 2024 — and ordered a criminal investigation.

The IDF had repeatedly denied its troops were even in the area. Media investigations and other reporting found evidence that nearby Israeli tanks were responsible.

Don't hold your breath on accountability. Criminal investigations into Israeli troops over the killing of Palestinians rarely lead to convictions. A UN report published in February described "a pervasive climate of impunity" by Israel in occupied Palestine — and in September, a UN commission found Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, citing tens of thousands of civilian deaths and massive destruction.

An investigation was only opened after the lies stopped working.

6. Missouri Republicans gerrymander their map into law — voters blocked from weighing in

A Missouri judge ruled Wednesday that Republicans can use their newly drawn congressional map in November's elections without putting it to a statewide referendum.

Cole County Circuit Judge Daniel Green sided with Republican Secretary of State Denny Hoskins, who had already rejected a voter petition to put the map on the ballot, claiming it violated the state constitution. The map had already been used in August primaries.

An appeal to the Missouri Supreme Court is expected — but the clock is working for Republicans, who need the map in place before November.

This is what “democracy” looks like when one party controls the courts, the secretary of state's office, and the legislature simultaneously.

7. Florida's most notorious "war on woke" school board just lost its conservative majority

The Sarasota County School Board — ground zero for book bans, anti-mask mandates, and anti-LGBTQ policy, co-founded by a Moms for Liberty leader — flipped this week when two Democrat-endorsed candidates, Megan Tennimon and Bethany Mayberry, won their races.

A third Democratic candidate, Jimmy Glover, heads to a November runoff; if he wins, he'll be the first person of color ever to sit on the five-person board.

Tennimon, a former teacher, said the community was "tired of the culture wars, the political theater." Mayberry, a retired educator, said voters finally saw "how destructive those divisive policies really were."

This is the same Florida that Ron DeSantis turned into a national laboratory for the right's education agenda. The experiment is failing.

⚠️ Today’s Call to Action: Pass TERM LIMITS for the Supreme Court!

Trump has been allowed to stack the court with right-wing extremists that could hold power until at least 2065. That is beyond unacceptable!

Demand Democrats pass TERM LIMITS for the Supreme Court once they take back power!

  • “While I believe that Trump is having an affair with her, I'd have to say it's more mental than sexual. I sincerely doubt he's physically able to "perform" due to his age and health problems. He can claim to be perfectly healthy, but we all know better, and so does Natalie!”

  • “I don't think he is capable of a sexual relationship at this stage of his dementia. But I suspect she is doing her best to have sex with him - she's a strange one.”
